Today I said "Happy Birthday" to a friend.

Isn't it strange how you know someone has definately changed a lot, yet you still see them as the same person you had known years ago?
She didn't really change. She still looked about the same, her hairstyle didn't change - short hair, central parting. Her specs were still the same as I last remembered, pink plastic frame. Her face and her smile didn't change.

She looked like the exact same person, and I almost felt I could understand what she would be like.

Yet I was afraid to say "Hello". I was afraid of "who are you?" as a reply.

Sometimes I wished I could have chosen that same path just to be able to fit in those photographs. But there are people I've met because of my own decision that I want to know.

Atleast we all seem happy. I think I should keep it this way.
I think the idea is to not get attached and not to be naive. Who knows what the future is?

Yea I'm suddenly going to post about the KL trip.
I'm not really going to go into details of what we did, but overall it was fun.

Truthfully, I didn't expect it to be fun since none of my friends actually went. But my group was awesome and it was so fun. I met people I had never met before even though we were in the same school. I even surprised myself.

Just some things that I seem to remember better. The first day was quite vague, mostly in the bus. And quite a lot of scolding... The second day, we started off with cleaning. The cleaning was tiring but it was fun with everyone. There was this satisfying feeling of being able to see the actual colour of the paint after scrubbing away the dirt.

Then later we carried out the games. I was actually very happy to see the children having fun. Even though it was quite chaotic. Later during the paperplane-folding, one of the kids couldn't really follow with the instructions. Then I sortof surprised myself when I sat down next to him and started trying to guide him. He couldn't really fold it by himself, but when the paperplane was done, he suddenly became happy. There was this glowing feeling that I just made someone smile.

Later I learned that it was very hard to please every one of the kids. If you tried to please one, you'll probably offend another. Why can't they all be more agreeable...

On the third day, we did painting. It was... super fun. We had a team of 10 awesome people. At first it looked like a lot of work, but with everyone painting abit here and there it was quite fast. We also interacted a lot and we also got paint all over our hands. The work wasn't very boring. And when we were done... I guess I could just say we felt mega proud. Yea then afterwards we still had to clean up. People transformed into professional cleaners! And we found ourselves scrubbing at the floor. It became fun too and the water was like a gift from heavens to save us. And everytime the Sunbeam kids see the wall they will be reminded of our awesomeness.

Later during the farewell party, I actually interacted with the kids so much more... I found myself talking to this girl who was insisting on leaving herself out of the games. I literally pulled her to join us. Normally I would have just let people like that be, but I didn't really want anyone to be left out of the farewell party.

The 3 days there just passed so fast. Suddenly we were already saying goodbye. But those few days were really enlightening. Well the last day was pretty much only the return journey.

I just realised I'm leaving for KL in less than 2 days. Well, still not sure what I'll be doing. I think I'm supposed to make masks, so I started doing google searches for ideas. Apparently, half of the results scare the fuck out of me. I even saw CLOWNS! O__O

OH GOD, STAY AWAY FROM MEEEE!!!*HIDES*

Ridiculous phobias aside, I haven't done anything. I feel like I'm just sitting around using up oxygen without being productive. Also, I just realised that 'homework' was an uncountable noun. Well that explains a lot!

I'm talking less about my life. Hopefully my phone will last the 4 days in malaysia, though I think I'll be bringing a charger so I don't have to go through the drama that is watching my phone shutdown.

By the way, I did one maths worksheet. And now there's an infinite more to go. whoopee.
